Duplication of emails to sender

Hi,
I have a branch with 10 users on 56kbps dial-up, running POP to access my
exchange server.

When my users send out an email, its oftens stays in the outbook and
attempts to establish connection with my server. The problem is, my
receipients have already received the emails but the email is still in the
senders outbook.

Any advice....

This is often the result of using an anti-virus scanner to scan outgoing
messages, something that is never needed (since your AV program would
already have detected the virus, had it been able to do so, prior to your
composing the message). It can also be helped by increasing the
send/receive interval and the server timeout value. Without the knowledge
of what version of Outlook you're running, the exact steps can be described.

Hi Bill,
Thanks for your reply. I am running Exchange 2003. I have Trend antivirus
installed. But, this has always been the case even in my other offices who
are in remote locations. I do not have this problem in my main office as the
server is on a LAN

Thanks for your reply. I am running Exchange 2003.

But you don't state your version of Outlook.

Have you tried lengthening your send/receive interval and your server
timeout value?
