I posted the same thing on Sept 2 and someone else did
also. Look at the post for Sept 2 with subject 'Outlook
Virus??' There are several good responses. I have
McAfee virus protector on the computer with the problem.
I also went on Google and did a search on Outook duplicate
emails and got a lot of hits. Also -- my user told me
today that instead of triplicate emails, she is now
getting 4 of each !!
I've got the same or a similar problem; it came up suddenly yesterday.
Messages in the inbox are copied over and over again as long as I'm connected
to the internet. If I'm working offline the duplication stops. I can still
send emails but new received emails are not download to my inbox from my
ISP's mail server (Comcast). I originally thought Outlook might have become
corrupted because I was in the process of a move and establishing Comcast
service in a different location, but now I'm wondering if it is a virus--I
also have McAfee virus protection. Does anyone else know what's going on?
Your answer can be found under the reply by neo and BillR on the Sep. 2
message mentioned by Susan. My reply (and thanks there) documents my
experience with their suggestion. It works.
