Duplicates when I try "Find" a Contact

In Outlook 2003, when I use the "Find" box to locate, for instance, John
Smith, Outlook offers me duplicates:
"John Smith
John Smith
John Smith"

However, when I scroll through my Contacts alphabeticaly to Smith, I find
that I only have one Contact named John Smith. Why is Outlook "Find"
offering me multiple John Smith's, when Contacts itself only holds one John
Smith? I will appreciate advice.

Diane:
No, I only have one email address for him. In other cases, I have no email
address for a certain Contact, but he or she is showing twice when I use the
"Find" window in Outlook Contacts. Please advise further if you can. Thank
you.
