I have two laptops that are identical and they need Win2000 refreshed on
them and they both have the Win2000 licence stickers on the bottom with
different codes.

Having spent all day reinstalling from the recovery CD and applying all
the Windows update fixes, I'd like to use a short-cut method on the
second identical one.

So, two questions.

Can I use something like Powerquest's drive copy to copy one disk to
another? And if so would there be any problems if the machines were
both on the same network if I changed the machine ID.

Second question is, can I easily put the correct license key in the
second machine.

Thanks

Yes, if the two notebooks are identical, you can clone one to the other. There is no need
to transfer the key code. However, if you feel you must, you can SysPrep the cloned
notebook and during the mini-setup wizard you can enter the key code.
