duplicate system folder

Has anyone figured out how to delete duplicate system
folder? I accidentally copied the "my documents" folder.
Now it is duplicated and you cannot alter the original
without the same change being made to the copy. It is the
same if you alter the copy. This is a bug for XP. Is
there any way to get rid of the copy?
