Duplicate messages in INBOX

I have Outlook 2000 installed on an XP professional machine. As of three
days ago it now has duplicated each message inbound. How do I stop this
carnage filling up my inbox.

Do you have your AV set to scan incoming and outgoing mail? IF yes, turn it
off.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, udontknow asked:
