Can some knowledgeable guy/gal explain to me why Ms has released two
different items under the same kb numbers:

Windows Script 5.6 for Windows XP and Windows 2000
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en

JScript 5.6 Security Update for Windows XP SP1 and SP2 (KB917344)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...be-cac3-4579-9b93-939fd5d3cde6&DisplayLang=en

What is the order of installing thse two items. One is for JScript 5.6
while other is for Windows Script 5.6!!!

Sure - MS has screwed up on their website, just joking!

Have you tried clearing your browsers cache?
1 : Click on Tools and click on Options
2 : On the 'General' tab, click on 'Delete Cookies' and then click on
'Delete Files'.
Note: IE7 users, click on 'Delete...'

3 : When that is done, reset your:
Security Zones
Privacy Settings

4 : Make sure your cookies are enabled.

Are there any error codes? (e.g 0x066A)

The first is the entire Windows Script package, the second is a
Security update for JScript.
It appears that the version of Windows Script 5.6 is now at
5.6.0.8831
That's the same version level for the JScript update shown here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS06-023.mspx

So, in conclusion, one only needs to install the Windows Script 5.6
posted on 8/28/07
It would be nice if MS included that info on the Download Center page,
wouldn't it ? <w>
