Duplicate emails

Hello, I just installed an AT&T modem/router that is wired to one desktop and
is wirelessly connected to a laptop. Office 2007 is on both the desktop and
laptop. As soon as I installed this and set up Outlook as the email
software, I started receiving duplicate emails on the desktop. Does anyone
know what might cause this?
