What sort of mail account(s)? Do you get both copies of the message during
one download, or does the copy get re-downloaded the next time you check
mail?

Jeff,
Thanks for responding. I appreciate it. I have two Yahoo accounts that are
forwarded to Microsoft Outlook using POP3. It is only happening with one of
my accounts and not the other. I checked the Outlook settings on each
account and they are identical. To answer your question the duplicate comes
a minute after the first one arrives.

I ended up calling Microsoft support and they found the problem. When I
upgraded from Outlook2000 to Outlook2003 the upgrade transfered my two email
accounts over but also added a Yahoo POP3 account. So I had to pay $35.00 to
Microsoft to correct a problem with their product.

I have the same issue on a new computer with a fresh install of Outlook 2003
and a newly setup Yahoo POP account. I have been using Outlook 2003 to check
a Comcast POP3 account for 2 months and have not had this issue. I did
experience the same duplicate email issue with Outlook Express and my Hotmail
account before I moved it to Outlook 2003.
I just paid $20 to Yahoo to check my email with Outlook 2003 and I don't
want to pay for support for a product I bought at the end of January. Did
they give you any documentation on the problem? I can't find anything in the
online support.
