duplicate contacts

I have two contacts which have the same name but are two different people
(i.e., Joe Smith Sr. and Joe Smith Jr., but they both use Joe Smith on their
e-mail).

when I start typing "Joe Smith", both names come up and I don't know which
is which. I can find one occurence of "Joe Smith" in my address book, but I
cannot find the second occurence. PLEASE HELP!

Clarify your post.
Always state your Outlook version.
Provide enough information on how you are entering the address so we can
tell if you're asking about autocompletion or autoresolution.
Provide the Display As fields for these two Contacts in question.
