Duplicate Contact (Same Company) in Business Contact Manager 2007

Jeff

Hi,

I have read other threads that suggest that there is no way to duplicate a
contact in BCM 2007. (Specifically, that feature was removed from BCM 2007.)

I have a hard time believing this.

What option is available for duplicating contacts in BCM? If I add a client
company, and there ten or twenty individuals that I need to add to BCM, do I
need to create each new contact individually? That is a lot of work.

I must be missing something.

Thanks for any advice.

Try this:

Create one contact.
Drag, copy it to Outlook Contacts,
Drag, copy it from Outlook Contacts to BCM Business Contacts to create
new ones with the same data.

There may be a simpler way, but the above should work.

Hi Luther,

Thanks for the information. Your suggestion works great. (It seems kind of
backward that we need to go about it in that way; but, the goal is
accomplished.)

Thanks for your help.

Hi Jeff

I have posted a workaround to create Business contact from the same company

Hi Raul,

Thanks for your reply.

The problem with the solution you recommended is that the contact that is
created is created with the fields from Outlook, not Business Contact
Manager. (In other words, there are a number of fields which are available in
a BCM contact that aren't available in a standard Outlook contact.)

Any ideas how to work around this problem?

Thanks

Jeff
