"Dumping primary hard drive" message purple screen

I had an end-user on Windows XP Pro get a purple screen
with "a bunch of numbers on it" and the message "dumping
primary hard drive". He had to do a cold boot to get rid
of it. Happened twice yesterday, Ok today. Any ideas?

Sounds like some type of virus or such, Windows doesn't have purple screens of death.

Of course it does (but they're more blue than purple), although
they occur less frequently than with older operating systems.

Blue I've seen, purple would be new to me.
