Dual Win XP Boot?

So I just got out of school and I took my hard drive out of my computer
at college and brought it home for the summer. I put it into my
brother's computer and it is recognized fine. My question is... is
there any way to boot to my college hard drive and have the computer
start up in windows just like it did at school? I tried to boot from
the drive in the BIOS, and it looked like it was about to boot, but
then it freaked out and restarted. Any ideas?

Look at it as changing MB on school PC- U'd never do that.

Any advise given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS (Normally, Usually, Generally, Sometimes :)

Since you are installing it in your brothers computer, you should either
disable by bios or disconnect by physically disconnecting the cable to your
brothers hard drive.
Then install your hard drive in accordance with what method you elected to
use.
Make sure you follow the step by step from the linked article below.
Do not boot directly to the hard drive without first performing a repair
install to set the XP installation to the new hardware.
