Can I install 98 operating system on a computer
purchased with xp Professional on it without reformating
the harddrive?
 
You can do but it can be tricky. Go to doug knox's site www.dougknox.com and
click on the windows xp fixes. look for the link Install 98/Me after XP is
installed. That should give you some tips on how to do it.
