Dual Monitor setup for Radeon 7500 Mobility on Sony GRX Vaio

I am attempting to configure dual monitor support on my notebook and I
haven't been having much luck. From my research I've found that some
people have gotten the Radeon 7500 to work on Dells and I believe Sony
Vaio. However I haven't had much luck so far, perhaps it is just a
driver issue.

If anyone out there in Cyberspace has gotten this to work, I would
greatly appreciated it if you could post your driver versions, and
perhaps where you got them.

If you mean dual monitor, extended desktop, as apposed to clone, its a
feature of the driver.
The driver being supplied by the notebook manu, as ATI doesn't supply Mobile
Radeon drivers to end users.

Yes... dual monitor extended desktop. Thats the unfortunate thing.
I'm betting ATI has updated drivers that support this, but Sony
probably hasn't ported them to their non-standard chipset (If there
even are any differences) I would definately go the non supported
route. I already tried downloading drivers for a dell, they actually
worked, but not for extended desktop feature.

I tried talking to sony support and it was like speaking to a monkey.
Tech support people always assume the person they are talking to is an
idiot. Well hell, maybe I am, but don't treat me like one. But
anyway...

I thought I read somewhere in here, that some one else had gotten it
to work, I haven't had that much luck yet.

I believe the usual response from sony 'tech?' is to restore the sys to its
original config.
All terribly helpful!!
For such a global player and a company that apparently specialises in
'communication' their tech is abysmal!!
I have found that sony hardware can be v.driver picky
