Dual monitor problems

I have read a post on this before, but nobody answered the question.
So here goes:

I recently purchased a new PC with a dual VGA output (nVIDIA GeForceFX
5200 core cards: Jaton Video 228PCI-Twin). Understandably, this is
not the best of the best when it comes to video, but it fits our
needs. I have setup 2 19" Acer LCD monitors and everything seems to
be working perfectly. The problem I am experiencing is that pop ups
that appear from certain programs (specifically Lotus Notes) appear on
the primary monitor every time one is opened. For instance, if I have
lotus notes on my secondary monitor, and I open File, Preferences,
User Preferences, a pop up appears, but it always pops up on the
primary monitor. The same happens while creating a new memo and you
select the "To" option to bring up your contacts, it opens your
contacts pop up on the primary monitor.

Even after moving the pop up to the secondary monitor and closing it,
the next attempt brings the same results. Does anybody know how to
configure it so pop ups appear on the same monitor as the program used
to open that pop up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Some programs aren't two monitor friendly. What happens is the window
postion is hard coded into the program where to open a window regardless of
resolution settings so they divide left to right by two then subtract half
the width of there window at that resolution and put that edge there then do
the same for up and down. I have several programs that do this and it's
frustrating but until they get with the times you are stuck with the results
you're seeing. Email the offending programs tech support at least you'll
feel like you did something.

In a nutshell it is "popping" up at a preset location from the upper
left corner of the desktop. That you have 2 monitors is beside the
point, they are treated as one elongated single expanse. You will notice
that Windows dialog boxes appear in the center of the desktop, and thus
right across the bezels of the monitors.

(nVidia set to DualView) - right click the nVidia icon in the taskbar

select nView Desktop Manager | nView properties

on the Windows tab, "Dialog box repositioning" - select Move to
application display; then check the box if you want it centered.

Thank you for your responses. I know an elongated monitor CAN be the
case if you set your dual monitors to work this way (horizontal
stretch), but we have them set as two separate monitors. If I move a
window to the second monitor and make it full screen, it only is full
screen on the second monitor. As far as dialog boxes appearing, they
appear ONLY on the primary monitor (not in the center across the
bezels of the monitors), and that is what I am trying to stop. I want
the boxes to appear on the relative monitor that the program is
running on.
