Dual CPU motherboards for P4?

T

Thor

I have a P4 2.4Ghz (533Mhz bus) and 1GB of PC3200 RAM. If I was to pick up
another P4, do they make mobo's that support dual P4 (non Xeon) CPUs? Any
recommendations?

Thanks,
Thor

No, they don't. P4s cannot run dual, period. It's not without a reason
that the P4 based Xeons have over 100 pins more...

The is no non-xeon dual P4 motherboards. Intel stopped supporting dual for
normal cpus with the last of the P3s. They didn't put the circuitry needed
into the P4.

Although 97 of those 100 pins have nothing to do with dual support...

Ok, thanks. I remember people talking about people building dual P3 systems
back in the day, but I haven't heard lately about the same with P4's.. now I
know why :)

Thanks,
Thor
