Derrh ! Did you see the big red letters at the top right hand side of this ms
newsgroup, "BETA" , maybe thats the reason for all the multiple posts in
error.

Not sure if that last post made it so I will do it again. Thanks Leo
Can I ask you 1 more question. Can I use a program like Partion Magic or the
Vista Disc to set up the Partion for Dual Boot.
Thanks in advance
Jeff

I used Partition Magic. As I understand it, the Vista setup will erase your
data. It is also important after partitioning to start the Vista setup from
inside XP so you can choose the install location for Vista.

I set up the Partion and tried to set it for active with partion magic and
the option is not there.Should I make a totally new partion?I tried to use
one that was already there, that I was not using.

You can choose the target partition if you start the installation by booting
with the dvd also. If the partition does not appear then a disk controller
driver needs to be supplied (Load Drivers button). Giving the volume an
easily distinguishable name before starting helps avoid errors.

Too stupid for a beta OS.

When you help someone like this they will just be back in a few more
days with more stupid question.

This group is being flooded with moronic questions:
How do I get a product key
Where do I get a driver for xyz hardware
Won't install on my lapotop
Won't install on my computer circa 1968
My crappy video card won't run aero glass (the sky is falling)
My crappy sound card doesn't work
Can't figure out how to activate
Will my 16 bit program from 1992 run on Vista
How long can I use Vista Beta
How do I dual boot
I NEED STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO GET XP BACK
cannot delete windows.old file

Ignore them, children should only listen to adult conversations, not
be incouraged to join in.

Don't bother responding. He left the same reply on dozens of threads and
then beat it.

Interestingly I found that when I downloaded the image file on a helper
computer and burned the dvd on its burner and then tried to use the dvd in
my test machine I got nothing but file copy errors. When I moved the image
file to the test machine and burned a dvd on it I had no problems. The
download was fine but for some reason it helped to burn the dvd in the same
drive I was installing from.
