- What do you mean with "As stated"?
- What is the size of each of your partitions?
- Which drives are primary, which ones are logical?
- Which drives reside on the master disk, which
ones on the slave disk?
- You would assist respondents considerably by adding
punctuation to your reply so that we know where your
sentences start and end.

The best solution is Virtual PC 2004. There is no partitioning and no
reboots required to install and run Win98 on your XP computer. If you have
XP Home, it will run but Microsoft does not offer phone or email support.
If you have XP Pro it is fully supported. See:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc/default.mspx . There is a 45-day
free trial available for download.

okay I hope I get this right. I do not know which drives are primary and which are logcal. The master disk is the 60 gb hd with c:/ being ntfs size is 15 gb, e:/ being ntfs size 15 gb and f:/ being ntfs size 28 gb. The slave disk is the 40gb with d:/ being fat32 size 10 gb, g:/ being ntfs size 10 gb and h:/ being ntfs size 19 gb

You have two options:
a) Run Virtual PC 2004, as suggested by Colin Barnhorst.
b) Install a third party boot manager such as XOSL (free!).

Post again if you want to use option b) and if you are willing
to spend the time and energy to learn about XOSL.

You must install 98 first and then install XP. But XP can run 98 programs if
you set it up that way. Microsoft has the info and instructions. Just search
"dual boot." Or use one of the programs that can do it for you.
