Dual boot with Win 2000 and XP

As an experiment, I did a clean install of Windows XP to
the same partition as Windows 2000. Both OS's boot
without problems. After confirming the known issues with
program and shared files with this type of setup I would
like to delete the XP OS but leave the Win 2000 OS
untouched. Is there a quick way to do this without doing
a reformat and reinstall of Windows 2000? This is a
classroom experiment so time is limited.
Thanks

Simple:
1. Boot into Win2000.
2. Rename c:\Windows to c:\Windows.XP
3. Wait a week.
4. If all is well, delete c:\Windows.XP

and then remove the entry from boot.ini

Thanks, I had thought of that but I was unsure if it was
the proper way to go about it. I'll give it a try.
Thanks again.
