Dual boot removal - cleaning up...

Removed dual boot from my PC to boot from XP directly. Had a small FAT32
partition (C:) with XP installed on NTFS (D:). When I finished cleaning up
(including deleting FAT partition), I found no XP is still on D: (with no C:
at all).

Can I safely use PartitionMagic to rename the partition from D: to C:? Or is
this going to cause more problems?

Also, on boot I get "Operating system no found, press any key to continue".
When I press a key, XP boots up. Any thoughts about this would be welcome...

No, this is not likely to work, since XP knows it was installed on D: and there were numerous references in the Registry that specifically pointed to the D: drive. The problem was caused when you deleted the C: partition. The boot files NTLDR, NTDETECT.COM, BOOT.INI and others were there, as well as the MBR code that loaded the XP boot loader.
