DST update via GP

Extracted the .msi file from the patch and deployed it through GP, but the
time isn't changing. I can use tzedit to verify the patch is in place, but
it seems the timezone doesn't update or refresh unless I manually change
zones, apply and change back. When I do that, it updates the time, but I
really don't want to have to go to each machine (all XP Pro SP2) to change
the zone.

Even after a reboot, it still thinks is EST. If I run the .exe patch
manually, it works.

Any thoughts?

I recommended you use WSUS and download the patch (KB931836) and push it out
to all the workstations.

I noticed a few workstations in windows 2000 that the time zone did not
change until I log off and log back on or restart the PC.
