DSL not working right after sleep

I have DSL and am using Windows Vista. When I put my computer to sleep and
then later come back to use it the only way I can get the DSL to work again
is to turn the DSL modem off and back on again. Is there some settings I am
missing?

you forgot to tell us that this is a usb modem...


if it has ethernet, use that

no it's fine, this happens to me sometimes. don't worry. but remember to
disconnect from the internet and then enter sleep mode.

Well, in XP, one needs not worry about disconnecting from *anything*,
since *everything* comes back like it should.
