I am having a problem finding how I can remove the dropdown box on my
system. I am not sure if I'm just not looking in the right place, or
what. They are really starting to fill up, and if I could either empty
them or remove them, it would make my day a whole lot better.

You have autocomplete enabled, which is why those boxes retain the
information.
There are a couple of remedies, and depending on what you want to do you can
either clear the content from those tabs, or you can clear the content and
prevent it from filling/retaining information.

From Control Panel, go to Internet Options>Content tab>AutoComplete>se
AutoComplete for;
now, clear the marks next to any boxes that you do not want the information
saved for, and click 'clear forms' as well as passwords if you want your
stored passwords cleared.

Then okay your way out and go to the General tab>clear history..from there
you can also set the number of days to train history to zero.
