Drop Down Menu

R

Richard

Last evening an MVP suggested for my issue:

Installed a program some tim ago, then uninstalled it, it
left some goodies behind. They reside in the drop down
menu, e.g. When I open My Computer, open Drive C, right
click on any folder, that's where I find menu items stll
there, question is, how can I clean up that menu, it's
also the drop down where, cut, copy, paste, etc. are.

That I should:

Open Registry Editor and navigate to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell

-and-

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex

Spot the particular context menu entry and backup the key
first. Then delete the entry.

But the items I am looking for were not in either shell
or shellex verbatum.

Richard,

Please post the contents of the registry export. (those 4 keys). And what menu option you're trying to remove? Does it happen only for folders. (Drives, or all the objects?)
