When you insert a drop down form box (to use as a navigation menu) the
default background color is white. Is there a way to change that to another
color?

Right click inside the dropdown. Select form field properties click Style, click Format, click
Border, click the Shading tab click the Background color dropdown and set your color. Click OK
several times.

Thanks for the hint.
Went through all the steps only to get a messages that read . . .

"Enter and integer between 1 and 99"

Not sure what to do after that.

Do as instructed. When you color a border it makes no sense to have a
border that are invisible (0px).

Hi darkrats,

Your DD menu has to have a height of at least 1 and no greater than 99. You are simply being prompted to choose a height for the DD. Play around with it to your liking. Generally, they are set to 1.

You missed a step, you aren't coloring the border, you're coloring the background.
Click the Shading tab and then the Background tab. Leave the border unchanged
