DROP DOWN MENU DOES NOT APPEAR

I click on any item in the tool bar and no drop down menu appears.
This is also happening in Word and Outlook.
I cannot get the help menu to work.
Please help

What version of Excel are you using? Which menu(s) won't appear? What
exactly do you mean "I can't get the Help menu to work"?

What error message are you getting?

We need a lot more info.

I use Microsoft XP, Excel 2003, Microsofr Office Word 2003.

I click on ANY of the items in the tool bar - File, Edit, View, Insert,
Help, etc - and NOTHING happens. No Drop down menu appears.

No error message - nothing happens
