Drop down list

I'd like to transform a selection of cells in a column to
be drop down lists forcing people to choose one of the
choices. I don't want to use the control or forms to draw
the list box over the cell.

how can I change the cells to be drop down lists with
values that I want to pre-set?

Hi,

Use Data -> Validation. In the validation criteria, choose List from the
dropdown and in the source give reference to your list of cells which
have the choices

You can use Data>Validation to create a dropdown list in a cell. For a
short list, you can type the values in the Data Validation dialog box.
For longer list, refer to a list in the workbook.
