Drop down list and obtain data in a cell

Mark McDonough

I have this situation where I have a drop down list for a number of
suppliers.

There is a summary worksheet followed by a series of worksheets, one for
each supplier all identical in their layout.

What I would like to do is select a supplier from the list and when selected
take the data in cell C75 on the supplier worksheet and place it in cell C75
on the summary sheet.

Is this possible?

The easiest way to do that is by using a Combo Box, which is actually a
specific kind of drop down list. You open the toolbox for steering
elements, select combination box and place it wherever you need it in
your sheet. Go to the properties of that box, alphabetic list and
search for LinkedCell - there you fill in C75 - and for ListFillRange -
there you fill in where the data are coming from.

Good luck
