Hi =?Utf-8?B?SGF5bGV5?=,
I have created a form with text and drop down form fields. We click send to
email recipient and email the form. When opened by the recipient (internal -
running Outlook 2003 SP2) the text form fields are fine but the drop down
form fields are lost. They are blank.
Word documents have their own, binary format. In order to email them "as is",
they must be converted to HTML. The conversion to HTML doesn't pick up dropdown
fields.
You'd need to send the document as an attachment in order to retain the
dropdown fields. Or you'd need some kind of macro, either to preprocess to
remove the dropdown fields or to replace the dropdown fields with a userForm
that rights to textboxes (see this article for the basics WD2000: How to Create
a Combo Box Containing More Than 25 Items
