drop down form field length

I'm trying to create a drop down form field in a Word 2003 document where the
drop down options are actually sentences. When entering the drop down
response options, it's limiting the amount of characters I am able to enter
and I'm not being able to enter in the entire sentence I would like to have
as an option. Is there a way to lengthen the drop down form field or enable
it to allow me to enter as many characters as necessary? I've searched
online for about an hour, and have not seen any suggestions or where others
were running into this same problem.
