Hello Rick. Thanks for your quick reply.

I run O&O’s Defrag program on my system and left it alone (big mistake
!). When I returned, I found that the program was interrupted (I don’t
kanow why). It is possible that one or more sectors where damaged (?).

This morning I recivied the "The system has recoverd from a serious
error" massage.
The error signature was:
BCCode:9f BCP1:00000500 BCP2:00000002 BCP3:81AA3E70
BCP4:81AF3E30 OSVer:5_1_2600 SP:2_0 Product:256_1
The files mentioned below were included in the error report:
C:\DOCUME~1\...\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERba87.dir00\Mini092004-03.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\...\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERba87.dir00\sysdata.xml

I did a little reserch and came with the following links:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;315249
http://www.deadparrots.net/archives/technology/0312mystery_solved.html
(this is for win 2000, but I think it is relevant).

I run the Sigverif tool and found tens of files (drivers and so), but
in light of what I mentioned above, it seems unlikely that it is a
device driver.

Any ideas ?

I Fixed the problem !!

I started deleting my security and backup programs, one by one
(Acronis, Kasparsky, Norton etc’) and it worked.

It was a bas driver after all.
