Driver for: ntativrv01

Just upgraded to Vista home Premium and in the device manager there is an
entry for 'Other devices' and a device named: ntativrv01 which is
apparently part of the ATI video card however I am unable to install drivers
for this because windows cannot find them. Called ATI and after a very long
time waiting I was told by the tech support that I had to reinstall the
latest drivers. Well, I have already many times! I deleted the old ATI
software, cleaned the registry and folders etc of any traces of ATI and
installed the new ones however no luck. What can I try next?
Thanks

I have the same thing. Do a google for it and you'll find lots of
references to it. I don't think there is a fix for it yet.

I did Google this before and did not find anything so I thought to call AMD
and post here hoping to find a way to solve this. Just received another
email from AMD tech support basically telling me to again install the
drivers! When and if I hear an actual solution from them I shall post it
here but so far they do not seem to know anything ... or even working on
this!

Well, here is the latest response from AMD tech support.....
"That is a wdm capture device. There currently are no drivers available for
the device under Vista, so you should disable it in the device manager."

What a solution disable it? That is the TV tuner and with out the drivers the
TV function does not work so my AIW 800 is now without its wonder. ATI always
had problems with drivers but this is terrible. And As SSI wrote the tech
service is not helpful at all. I hope they will come up with a solution soon
but I am not expecting a lot. I should have never upgrade to Vista :(.

So let me get this straight, one of the cool new features of Windows Vista is
the new Media Centre which we can't use because the drivers aren't available
and there is no ETA for them. Microsoft and ATI should be mortified about
this - this gonna cost sales on both fronts, and I expect there will be a lot
of finger pointing between the two sides without anything productive being
done.

For shame on both parties. This should be a VERY HIGH PRIORITY ISSUE.
