I have smal lan with one "server"running windows XP.
After all the configuration, the other 02 other computers could see the
"server" and the drives already configurated for sharing. They can also map
the drives.
But..when I open the drive, I can see the folders in the "server" but I can
not access them..it says contact the administrator because of lcak of
permission.
In order to solve the issue I tried sharing one folder only for trial
purpose and all the other 02 computers could open the folder.
Now, here cvomes my question: how can I share the drive and make all the
folders available at once, instead of sharing folder by folder?

Thanks.

This basically relates to user-accounts and permissions.

Firstly, there are two approaches. If you have "simpe file sharing" on, then
Guest access is permitted, and any user will be able to connect to the
server's shares, without a password. (Or by supplying the Guest password, if
one has been set)

If not, then users must access the share with a name/password combination
that matches an account on the server, and which has rights to the share.

To complicate matters further, the files/folders within the share might have
had restrictive permissions set on them. (Though this is unlikely unless the
settings have been changed)

Basically, if not using simple sharing, you need to create an account on the
server under which the folders are shared, and match this with what the user
supplies.
