Drive Not Found on POST

A power outage crashed my computer and i couldn't recover. I had 4 IDE
drives in RAID (striping), so I reconfigured my RAID array (striping then
tried JBOD), reformatted, and reinstalled Windows XP Pro. In both attempts,
during POST, I get the message that "Drive Not Found". I was told that
computer shouldn't even boot to Windows with that message, but it always
boots to Windows...then a few months later I get the Blue Screen of Death or
I lose everything except OS. Is there a "fix" for this without reformatting?

If you've allready reinstalled then its possible you have a hw problem
caused by the outage
