Drive Letters Being Reassigned

P

Pat

I have a laptop running Vista with three external hard drives. Sometimes
when I turn the computer on, the drive letters are reassigned without any
changes made by me. This makes some of the programs that I have on these
drives unable to work.

Why is this happening and what can I do to prevent it. I know what I to do
to change them back but it's a nuisance and I'm tired of having to do it.

Two of the drives are connected to a USB hub, the third is directly to the
laptop.

Try always connecting them to the same USB port
