Drive Letter

On XP Pro system, default drive letter of my Internal CDROM is F, which is
clashing with my network mappings. I tried changing CDROM drive letter
through Computer Management several times. It works fine for few days and
then goes back to F. Whenever I change drive letter from F, I always restart
system to make sure it stays. But after every few weeks, it goes back to F.
What could be causing that and how can I permanently fix it?

If this post is a repeat, I'm sorry. My newsreader choked while I was
trying to answer you the first time. Basically, try setting your
network drive mappings to a letter "further down" the alphabet, like R,
S, or T. If that doesn't work for you, then please repost with a good
description of your network setup and what you are trying to do.

Cheers,

Malke
