Drive letter not displayed in My Computer

I have a second hard drive in my machine which I just
re-formatted (NTFS). On the disk managment console, the
disk is listed as healthy and online with an active
partition. I have assigned a drive letter to it, but it
does not appear in the My Computer folder. Am I missing
something?

What is Tweakiu? Twice I have replaced my master hard drive and lost my
backups on a slave drive because WinXP would not recognize the slave until I
re-formatted that slave drive. Currently, I have the same situation except
that WinXP, with no input from me, found the slave drive and labeled it "E"
drive. Disk Management/change drive letter, does not offer the letter "D" as
an option on the drop-down list.

Is this a dual boot machine?

What drive is your CD drive?
