drawing vertical lines in detail section?

I have a memo field in my detail section that can grow
and shrink based on the amount of information.

The problem is that I need to draw vertical lines in my
detail section that need exactly to be 8 inches long even
if only 2 lines of text appear in my memo field.

Does anyone know on how this can be accomplished?

If the lines always start and end at the same place on the page, regardless
of the data, the simplest approach would be to use the Line method in the
Page event of the report.
