Drawing in Word

Hi all.....

I am trying to do some line drawings in word.

I have used this on another pc and when I drew a line and wanted to place say and small dot on the line I could position it so.
Now on my home pc I am trying to do the same and the dot will only position at the side of the line, if i move it to cover the line it will only jump to the otherside of the line.

I know there is a setting to change this, but where or what it is I have no idea... Can anyone help?
