drag and drop pictures

I have along new employee - a long time Mac user - trying to use a PC. With
a Mac he can drag a .jpg file onto a PowerPoint slide and it appears as a
picture sixed to match the frame. With the PC, it appears a hyperlink.
Using Insert Picture (which is several more steps) the picture gets inserted
but he has to fiddle with resizing it. Please reply to
(e-mail address removed).

This is a newsgroup, so we don't do email.

Although there are often several ways to do the same thing, the preferred method
is to use the Insert > Picture method. Copy and paste, and drag and drop have
some real drawbacks. Resizing is best done in an image editor.

If there are a lot of pictures to be inserted, I recommend the Image Importer
Wizard at http://skp.mvps.org/iiw.htm
