Drafts stay in bold (yet are all read)

I have 8 messages in Drafts, but they are all read. On the l-hand side,
Outlook (2002 with SP3) shows "8" in brackets.
How do I get it to show nothing because all the messages are read?

Move them out of the drafts folder - anything in the draft folder will
remain bold until sent or moved.
