whenever an error report comes up and asks to send; the computer freezes and
i have to manually shut it down and then re-start.

Same thing happens with the debugger. Everything freezes and I have to shut
down.

One work around might be to turn off error reporting. Right click My
Computer | Properties | Advanced tab | Error reporting.
