Anybody know how to increase downloads from websites? I
can only two files from a site at a time, but I have HSD
and can handle more.

To comply with current Internet standards (Request for Comments 2068),
Internet Explorer limits the number of simultaneous downloads to two
downloads, plus one queued download. This configuration is a function
of the browser. However, as connection speeds increase, and the number
of total connections that are allowed to Internet servers increase, the
two-connection limit may be restrictive. To increase the number of
simultaneous connections that are allowed to 10, follow these steps:

How to Configure Internet Explorer to Have More Than Two Download Sessions

I use a download manager, Fresh Download from
http://www.freshdiagnose.com/
It is free and has no spyware or popup ads. Works very
well, I've used it for a year or two now.

Zeretul1,

Came across an XP tweak in a computer mag, I cannot confirm this with
experience though. Boot regedit and get yourself to;

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings.

Create a DWORD called MaxConnectionsPerServer, and give it the value 10 or A
(10 in hex).

Hope this helps you.

Oh yes!, you may need to logoff and on again or reboot...
