Downloading newsgroups: MS Outlook Newsreader 6.00.2900.2180

Hi,

I am trying to download newsgroups in Outlook Express
6.00.2900.2180 from my ISP. I have WinXP Pro SP2.
To do this, here are the steps I follow:
1. Open Outlook Express by going to View, GoTo, News
2. From Microsft Outlook Newsreader, click Tools,
Newsgroups
3. Click the Reset List button
OBSERVE:
When the download reaches approximately 40,000-43000
newsgroups, it hangs, my processor goes to 100%, and I
eventually have to kill the msimn.exe process via Task
manager. Anyone else have this problem?
Plase help?
 
I would suggest it's your ISP that's having the problem.
I just updated my news list this weekend, worked fine
