Downloading Issue on WindowsXP General

Hi:
XP with SP3

In my attempts reading a lot of others' threads/posts, I accessed, ....
Tools - Option - Read - News, Get "500" headers at a time.

However, there are less than '500' threads when I downloading 'XP General'
when trying to read others' .... probably only 200 threads that starting
from yesterday, October 31 and ends to today's threads.

Strangely enough, others, such as 'Windows Networking and Wireless,' and
'Windows Perform and Maintenance' and all other news are certainly 500
threads on each. All others started from last months or so.

My question is;
Why WindowsXP General is a lot less than 500 threads to download/appear?
Most importantly, how to remedy this issue, ... getting '500' threads on
WindowsXP General?

Are you saying that you're not able to download headers prior to Ocotber
31? What happens when you click on the Headers button several times?
Have you tried clicking Reset?

Thanks for the VERY quick, ... VERY correct remedy to this issue.

I immedately click few times on Headers that was hiding the right
corner and never seen before, but I found one when hit "" on the
right top corner.
