When I'm at a website and try to download a file, I get an Adobe Acrobat box
and it won't let me go any further. Help!

You might want to contact Adobe for support with their application.

Assuming you are not downloading a PDF file when this happens, start by
removing Adobe Acrobat. Open Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, you
should see it listed, uninstall Adobe, reboot the system, then try
downloading a file and see what happens. If everything returns to normal,
try reintalling Adobe and see if the problem returns. If yes, my guess is
you have some other application on your system that is making this call or
has some setting that calls adobe when you are trying to download.

Conversely, if this is a recent problem, you might try using System Restore
to take you back to a time prior to when this began. Start\All
Programs\System Tools\System Restore.
