Downloading compressed files from Win 95 PC

Does anyone know how I can transfer compressed files (DRVSPACE.000) from my
Win 95 PC to my Win XP PC. The C Drive on Win 95 is practically full - no
room to uncompress on that PC.
Any help gratefully received.

Cannot Restore Backups That You Create in Windows 95, Windows 98,
or Windows Me with the Windows XP Ntbackup Tool

You may have success restoring Win 9X backups (.qic files)
