Downloadable graphics

I have XP & FP2003 and also use Access on my pages.

I wish to set up pages where users can download some of my graphics. I would
like to show thumbnails which when clicked on show a larger (but not full
resolution) graphic, and finally for them to have the option to download the
full large graphic file. Several questions:

Is it advisable for all graphics (thumbnail, medium & full) to live in the
/images folder?

The full images come form my digital camera that may have information (eg
date taken, etc) that I may wish to strip from the file. Is there a simple
way of doing this?

Are ther any advantages in using Access for this procedure? (the number of
files are currently small but may grow over time)

Thank youi

Hi novus,

A browser downloads files. If they see it in the browser, they have already
downloaded it. As to where they should live, that's up to you. The purpose
of folders is to organize files. Organize them so that they are easy for you
to work with.

date taken, etc) that I may wish to strip from the file. Is there a simple

If you have the right software, and know how to use it, yes. FrontPage has
no image editing capabilities.

The purpose of a database is organization, and the ability to easily work
with and manipulate data. This is similar to the purpose of a file system.
The database has search and indexing capabilites, and some other features
that make it more flexible and useful than a file system for many types of
data storage. So, the real question is, do you need any of those extra
capabilities? Is it worth the extra effort and processing cost to implement
a database for your project?

Some image editing software have the option to strip the EXIF info.
