I have a disk that has Office, including FrontPage, on it. I need the
FrontPage to update my web site and I can not get it to download onto my new
computer. My old computer had Windows ME and I had the same disk installed
onto it, this one has XP Media Center, I put the disk in, it starts to
download, and then during the download it stops and I get a message that some
file is missing, telling me to check the file or whatever. Why won't it let
me download and install FrontPage?? Any solutions to this problem?

Please give us the "exact" error message, including the file that is
missing.

Please provide exactly what the error is. There is no way we can really help
you without all the information. It could be that it's just an older version
of Office and there are some issues installing it on an OS that is a few
years newer. This is most likely the problem since there haven't been any
versions of Office that come with FP in a long time.

Please tell us exactly what file is the problem so someone may be able to
point you in the right direction.

I am trying to get the same message again by trying to install from the disk
again, however, as usual, the installation has stalled. The version is Office
2000, but this time I just chose FrontPage to install, not every thing on the
disk. It has been stalled for 30 minutes now, I have been timing it. When/IF
it gives me the message again, I will re-post with that. Thanks.

I am back, it finally came up with the message. Here is what it says:
Error 1305. Error reading from file: C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\HATTEN.TTF.
Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
Then it gives the option to Retry or Cancel, of course.

Can this be fixed?? Thanks for any help.

I recall an issue from years ago regarding that font
interfering with the installation of Office when there was
an older version previously installed. May need to check the
KB for articles with that one.
